Round 8

Firstly, a heartfelt thank you to the MCAFL community for your messages after dad’s passing. I would also would like to reiterate my condolences to the Rice family for their loss during the week.

A Short review as anyone following the results over the weekend would have known most of the results were decided before Sunday.

Despite having the 5th best attack, the FattRatts season is being decimated by poor timing with their opponents averaging 124 when playing Jeremadra. The Mudskippers ensured that pattern continued with a convincing 136-111 victory.

Shark Bay and Macattack was the only close game. The Mustangs super stars Darcy Wilmot and Shaun Mannagh…. ensured their losing streak ended, but Clarry couldn’t quite get it done for the win. Game ended 120-120.

Mossimo’s dependence on Carlton players has stung them again – they produced the Meerkats three lowest scores in their 112-120 defeat to Capper County.

The match of the round was a bust after Friday night. Hoddle Street fans were Berry happy after the Knights registered their highest score of the year and Tullamarine their lowest. It ended 128-97.

A Xerri 164 made a big difference as the Blues won their third straight beating West Fisher 125-111. One wonders, based on his SC scores, why this man isn’t lauded as the best player in the history of the AFL.
